The JINYA Ramen Bar in Roswell has closed after less than a year in business. Located at 1013 Alpharetta Street, JINYA opened its Roswell location August 4, 2025 and closed as of April 26, according to an employee at another metro JINYA location.
The 4,500 square foot ramen shop was located in a recently updated freestanding building adjacent to the Southern Post mixed-use development.
Real estate sources suggest that the Roswell restaurant was quietly being marketed for sale ahead of its abrupt closure. The Roswell restaurant had already been removed from the corporate JINYA website as of April 27, and its existence has largely been wiped from the internet. A Google page is still active, but notes that the restaurant is permanently closed. The Google reviews suggest that the restaurant was generally well received with an overall 4.8 star rating, but just 316 reviews.
The most recent review - received a week ago - was a one star.
"I love jinya. This location is terrible. Slow service. Beer is always sour or flat. Ramen doesn’t have as much flavor or spice. Now the POS is not working and they are holding us hostage. Waiting 30 mins to maybe pay a tab. Avoid."
The first JINYA in metro Atlanta opened along Roswell Road in Sandy Springs in 2016. Following the closure, JINYA continues to operate Atlanta area locations in Kennesaw, Poncey-Highland, Buford, Buckhead, Duluth, Alpharetta, and Sandy Springs, as well as another in Athens.
