The former Del Taco in Riverdale is undergoing renovations to become a new location of Picadilly To- Go! The quick-serve format was introduced by the historic cafeteria eatery this past February at a former Burger King on Candler Road in Decatur.
Property records indicate that the Riverdale Del Taco is about 2,400 square feet, sits on a roughly .6 acre lot, and was built from the ground up in 2019. The property was previously home to another full-service restaurant called Pepper's.

Established in Baton Rouge in 1944, Piccadilly today includes 28 locations across Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida, and Virginia.
The company's presence in metro Atlanta has shrunk over the past decade or so with closures of restaurants on North Druid Hills Road in Brookhaven, Howell Mill Road on the edge of Buckhead, Highway 138 in Conyers, Piedmont Avenue in Midtown, North Decatur Road in Decatur, and Peachtree Boulevard in Chamblee, among others.
Piccadilly continues to operate six full-service locations in Georgia: Cobb Parkway in Marietta, Northlake Parkway in Tucker, GA-138 in Stockbridge, Greenbriar Shopping Center in Southwest Atlanta near Greenbriar Mall, Godby Road in College Park, and Glynn Street in Fayetteville. (That said, this listing from TSCG suggests that the Godby Road location may be on borrowed time.)
The Texas-based restaurant chain operates six other full-service Piccadilly Cafeteria locations around Georgia including those Marietta, Tucker, College Park, Fayetteville, Stockbridge, and at Greenbriar Mall in Atlanta.
In addition to the Decatur and Riverdale drive-thru locations, the company also opened another "to go" unit on Riverdale Road in Memphis in a former Fazoli's this past April.
