The Ardent Companies acquired Perimeter Pointe shopping center this past December in a deal valued at $48M. The Atlanta-based firm has until recently shared limited information about their plans, but a new "proposed" site plan sheds a little light on what they hope to do with the sprawling 31 acre property.
The current LA Fitness is slated to be converted into the upscale “Club Studio” gym, also owned by LA Fitness. The first Atlanta area Club Studio opened in a former LA Fitness in TOWN Brookhaven and a second location is under construction at the Avenue West Cobb in West Cobb.
An unnamed “specialty grocer” is also expected to join the project in an as yet unbuilt new outparcel building along Mount Vernon Highway. Trader Joe's has been especially active in metro Atlanta expansion in recent years but the copious amount of parking would be "off brand" for the popular grocer.
Sprouts Farmers Market, which previously closed in Dunwoody and Chastain Park, could make sense as they, too, are in growth mode with smaller stores and several stores in their immediate Atlanta area pipeline in addition to the recently opened Conyers and Newnan stores.
Regal Cinemas, Office Depot Dick's Sporting Goods, ROAM, Five Below, Chick-fil-A, and Wendy's are all expected to remain in their spaces within the project. The former Stein Mart, Babies R Us, Toys R Us, and Atlanta Bread Co. spaces are expected to be repositioned as part of the renovation.
What would you most like to see open in Perimeter Pointe? Who do you think the “specialty grocer” is? Are you excited for the addition of dedicated green space at Perimeter Pointe?
