Pita's Republic Ventures North To Former Gorins In Midtown

Tampa Bay based Pita's Republic is expanding into Atlanta later this year. Setting up shop in the former Gorin's Homemade Ice Cream & Sandwiches at 620 Peachtree Street in midtown, they hope to open this fall. Located in the street level retail space of "The Windsor Over Peachtree," they hope to attract condo residents as well as employees of the giant Bank of America Plaza across the street. With a wide variety of pita, hummus and veggie entrees priced between $4 and $6, I see this place doing well given good management and consistent product. A big fan of Mediterranean cuisine myself, I can't wait to sink my teeth into one of their Gyros! ToNeTo Atlanta

Just to note, this space was most recently "David's Gourmet" and before that was "TJ's Subs". TJ's is owned by Mark Kaplan and Robert Solomon, the original owners of Gorin's and current franchisers of Great Wraps.
