Subway Arriving at Terminus by Year End

Taking the space of what was for a short time Dressed Salads in 10 Terminus Place, Subway will open by year end according to a Terminus representative. With the closure of AquaKnox and re-concepting of LOLA from Italian to Mediterranean, and now its current incarnation of Cantina, perhaps all that can survive at Teminus is mediocre food, MF Buckhead not withstanding. Flying Biscuit is hardly as good as it once was, BrickTop's is just a Houston's with a different logo and worse food. Emerald Coast will undoubtedly take a hit after Subway opens and quite possibly may not be open too far into 2011, if that long. Of course, Subway already has locations in both Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza in addition to a location down Peachtree near Brookhaven, another near Target, across from Phipps, and another in Buckhead Commons near Trio shoe service. Not quite to the Starbucks saturation that once existed in the same area, but close. ToNeTo Atlanta

Love your blog - since we all can agree Terminus is a horrible idea, what do you suggest they do with that dying piece of commercial zoned property?

Poor Atlantans...what ever would they do if they couldn't easily find a place to park. Go hungry, I guess.

Hey Anon,

That is the gazillion dollar question! Cumulus, UBS and a few others make up a stellar like up of tenants but there is plenty of availability both on the office side and the residential portion, not to mention all the vacant retail / restaurant space. I think they built too high and too much for that corner. There is just not enough space to allow for the parking that SHOULD have been implemented in the development. That deck is redic IMO.

Atlanta99 - wrong on the availability residential portion. There are two units left for purchase and they will be completely sold out this month. Kevin

The deck is better than the one at Lindbergh and it does just fine.

I guess all those bridezillas from Brides of Demetrios need to get their veggie subs on before they get shoehorned into their ultra chic and expensive gowns.
