Establishment to Expand with Plans to Feed You Soon

Buckhead bar getting larger and adding "small plates."

Establishment, the popular bar and lounge which opened last November at Buckhead Exchange shopping center, will soon expand from its current roughly 1500 square foot space into an adjacent space.  The adjacent space into which they will expand was most recently home to Loco's Grill & Pub.  Loco's closed "for remodeling" last week.

Establishment originally opened in a portion of the Loco's space used for events. When Establishment owner Brandon Lewis signed the lease for the Establishment space, he was reportedly offered the entire space.  Lewis told me he held off on leasing the entire 4,802 square foot space until he could gauge the popularity of Establishment.

With Establishment having developed quite the following, the decision was made to take on the entire space.  Plans call for Establishment to take over the Loco's patio this Friday giving them roughly an additional 1200 square feet. Establishment's indoor presence will grow in the coming months.  Additionally, Lewis told me a new restaurant concept featuring "southern influenced small plates" will complement Establishment and will likely debut in February.

The restaurant will be helmed by a "top new local chef" whose identity will be revealed in the coming days.

The entire Loco's space was previously re-concepted in the summer of 2009 from Loco's Grill & Pub to Buckhead Bar & Grill.  Buckhead Bar & Grill lasted about a year before  converting back to Loco's in June of 2010.

What is your favorite Buckhead bar?  Do you like Establishment?  What "small plates" would you like to see featured at the new Establishment restaurant?
