Bonefish Grill Dropping Anchor at Akers Mill

Seafood eatery planned for Akers Mill

Tampa, Florida-based Bloomin' Brands plans to open a new location of their Bonefish Grill concept at Akers Mill Square next year.  The casual seafood restaurant plans to erect a new structure near the corner of Riverwood and Cobb Parkways.  The freestanding restaurant would be built in place of existing parking, with Mattress Firm to its left and Sam Ash Music to its right.
Bonefish Grill plans to build a new restaurant in place of the words "Future Development."
Akers Mill Square has recently been a very popular center for fast casual and casual restaurants.  Grub Burger Bar, Pollo Tropical, Corner Bakery, and Zoes Kitchen have all opened in the center over the past couple of years.  Additionally, LongHorn Steakhouse expanded and relocated in the center, while Tin Drum Asiacafe plans to open in the coming weeks.

Bonefish Grill has three existing locations in metro Atlanta in Alpharetta, Buford and Snellville.  A fourth location opened in December of 2012 at Emory Point near Emory University but closed this past February.

Plans call for Bonefish at Akers Mill Square to open early in the first quarter of next year.

Seems like a good location for them, decent parking, easy access to 1-75. I love the one we have here in north fulton , I not sure what happened to the Emory location, but as an emory alum I'm not sure bonefish would have been on my radar when I was a student there. pizza and beer maybe, not a seafood place.
