Biscuits and Brake Pads Bound For Doraville

City of Doraville continues to attract new businesses.

A onetime Hardee's has been demolished to make way for new development.  Plans call for freestanding locations of both O'Reilly Auto Parts and Bojangles' to be built on the parcel.   The parcel sits at the dynamic corner of Buford Highway, New Peachtree Road and Oakcliff Road.

According to a spokesperson for the development, the Bojangles' will be about 3800 square feet while the O'Reilly will be about 7300 square feet. Overall the entire parcel is just under 1.7 acres.

Charlotte, North Carolina-based Bojangles' has been aggressively expanding its presence in Georgia as of late with multiple new locations opening over the past few months.  In addition to new locations in Peachtree Corners, Duluth, Tucker and Commerce, new Bojangles' have more recently opened in Lithonia, Stone Mountain, Canton and Lilburn.

Springfield, Missouri-based O'Reilly Auto Parts already operates a store on Buford Highway, but it's about six miles south, in Brookhaven.  Located near the intersection of Briarwood Road and Buford Highway, O'Reilly's Brookhaven location occupies a former Hollywood Video.

Doraville has seen tremendous activity over the past few years with new locations of Waffle House, Zaxby's, McDonald's, Krispy Kreme, Raceway and QuikTrip having opened in the city.

If all goes well, plans call for both businesses to open late this year.

In the late 1970s that location was a breakfast/biscuit place. I lived in the public housing complex on the Oakcliff side of Buford Highway.

it'll be interesting to see how well it does. That area is very industrial, and I know (per the manager) that the Krispy Kreme hasn't really done the gangbuster business that some KKs do, the Chick Fil A does not look as mobbed as some other CFA's. The McDonald's looks like it does pretty good business. This parcel sits just a bit further OTP. But in any case, it should be more exciting than Juua Fashion Jewelry Accessory.

Whats going into the Peachtree Parkway Plaza in Peachtree Corners (Where Youfit opened, next to Arbys and Wendy's) It looks to be another Zaxbys, Pollo Tropical or something. Being built very quickly they just broke ground and the walls are already up.

There is also a proposed Bojangles at Crossroads Village on Buford Highway - the Chamblee side of Buford Highway & Clairmont.

First Anon, are you thinking about Grandma's Biscuits?

That meat & three used to be about a block or so down from where the Hardee's parcel sits.
