[EXCLUSIVE] Beard Papa's Bringing Their Cream Puffs to Sandy Springs

A second Atlanta area location of Beard Papa's is coming soon to Sandy Springs.  The new Beard Papa's is planned for Parkside Shops along Roswell Road in Sandy Springs.  Specifically, Beard Papa's will be located in suite B107, a 1,200 square foot space between Subway and Bishoku.  The first Atlanta area location of the popular cream puff franchise opened this past May in the new Fuqua Development project, Peachtree Corners Town Center across from The Forum in Peachtree Corners.

The Japan-based bakery is known for its popular cream puffs but also offers other treats like cheesecake, mochi ice cream and assorted fondants.

Beard Papa's joins Il Giallo Osteria & Bar, Egg Harbor Cafe, Chipotle, Teamo Tea, Battle & Brew, Tuesday Morning and The Springs Cinema & Taphouse, among others in the aging center currently undergoing updates as part of a recent ownership change.

Atlanta-based real estate and private equity firm Jamestown purchased both Parkside Shops and the adjacent Hammond Exchange this past fall from Mimms Enterprises.

According to materials from Colliers, who was hired by Jamestown to assist in leasing the center, the firm "will be focusing on revitalizing the property with a variety of aesthetic updates and new technologies," over the next few months.

Planned updates include the façade, monument signs, landscaping, "consumer insights platform," electric car charging stations, on-site management, enhanced tenant signage and music.

Beard Papa's is expected to open later this fall.

Have you ever been to a Beard Papa's?  Are you excited for the addition of Beard Papa's to Sandy Springs?  What other shops or restaurants would you like to see open in Parkside Shops?

stopped by the Peachtree Corners location. There was an odd smell in the store. I just chalked it up to my building/equipment, etc.

No way I was gonna turn down a cream puff though. And Beard Papa did not disappoint. Man, they were DELICIOUS. Might be my new guilty pleasure.

Shared a crème brûlée puff with the missus. It was delicious. Judging by the pictures, I assumed they'd be about the size of a Munchkin from Dunkin'; turns out they're actually about the size of a doughnut. My size-32 waistline's days are numbered ...
