Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries Opening OTP, Then ITP

Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries is preparing to open their first Atlanta area location March 22nd. Located in Hammond Springs Shopping Center with Lowe's , Jason's Deli and The Flying Biscuit, Boardwalk Burgers & Fries is a little behind schedule but is basically complete now (see picture) . While it was reported earlier that there would also be a new location in the upcoming The Park Druid Hills near N. Druid Hills and Briarcliff, those plans are now off. Instead, the franchise group will open in the shuttered Artuzzi's Italian Kitchen in The District at Howell Mill. With FLIP Burger Boutique not far away in addition to McDonald's and the forthcoming YEAH! Burger, there will be no shortage of burger options in the area. The Howell Mill location should be open by late summer and at that point the group hopes to have a third location selected in Buckhead. The former Harry's In A Hurry near Cafe Intermezzo seems an ideal location for a QSR but it's a little close to Howell Mill and I've heard that Mitchell Anderson may be scouting it for his forthcoming MitchWitch concept. Republic Social House is slated to open later this month on Memorial Drive in the same development that includes Six Feet Under. The owner is Terry Barbu of "Barbu Concepts & Design", who designed several Atlanta restaurants and clubs, including Opera, The Nook at Piedmont Park, and Top Flr. The place looks really cool inside, and will be a welcome addition to the Grant Park/East Atlanta neighborhood.
