DrewLewis, the midtown men's boutique, is expanding. Often rumored to be closing, something must be going right for them, as they plan to open a second store in Chattanooga, in early October. The store will be far smaller than the current Atlanta store, at about 1500 s/f more, in line with the previous Atlanta location at MidCity lofts. While the Atlanta location carriessome women's goods, it seems the boutique is leaning towards men's only and just carrying what they know best. The Chattanooga store may have a "girlfriends" section so your gf won't be lonely as you shop the store. The boutique will be located within "Warehouse Row" in downtown Chattanooga. The development is owned by Atlanta-based Jamestown Properties, who purchased it in 2006 with plans to invest $10 million in the property. I'm told that Jamestown approached the owners of DrewLewis with a lease deal too good to pass up. Interestingly, Jamestown's portfolio also includes the "Shops at Metropolis," where the current DrewLewis is located, as well as White Provisions, which would seem to be serving as the model for the redevelopment at Warehouse Row.
