There May be a Fiesta at Toco Hills Soon, La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant Opening

Atlanta-based La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant will add their 15th Atlanta area location (16th overall) when it opens at Toco Hills later this year. La Parrilla will take a portion of the former Edo Japanese Steakhouse space in the vacant outparcel. (Another locally based restaurant is in talks for the other space, see additional story later this week.) This will be the La Parrilla's first location intown, aside from the location at Selig's The District at Howell Mill. Existing area locations are in Alpharetta, Woodstock, Flowery Branch, Canton and various other OTP cities in additionto their lone out-of-state location in Dothan, Alabama.

Larger in size than a typical fast casual Mexican restaurant like Moe's or Chipotle, La Parrilla's offerings are similar to that of Uncle Julio's. Irving Texas-based Uncle Julio's has two metro area locations, one on Peachtree in South Buckhead and the other at Hammond Drive and Peachtree-Dunwoody Roads in Dunwoody. In Toco Hills, La Parrilla will join existing restaurants like Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint and newcomer Goldberg's Bagel Company & Deli.

Better quality Mexican food for less money...what a concept :)

The Toco Hill shopping center has done a good job revitalizing the tenant mix.

Hello anon,

As a lifelong resident of the Toco community, I totally agree. New eats, new pavement and more still to come. I do worry how / if the area will support Einstein's , Bagel Palace AND Goldgerg's.

Very excited to hear about another La Parilla ITP. I frequented their Howell Mill location when I lived close to that area of town, but now that I'm in the Brookhaven area, I've missed it. Problem solved!

This is an odd way of saying that this will be LP's second location intown.
