With roots dating back to the 1950s, the brand was introduced by Minneapolis-based Munsingwear, an underwear and military garment manufacturer. The brand was launched with the introduction of the signature Penguin golf shirt, at the time to compete with Lacoste. Today, Original Penguin has men’s, women’s and children's lines as well as shoes, and is a subsidiary of Perry Ellis International.
As of now, the company has one Florida location on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach. Up until recently, this would have been the closest Penguin boutique for Atlanta shoppers. This will change soon as with the opening of the Lenox Square store, three new locations will also be added in Florida. Two of my favorite malls, Town Center at Boca Raton and Aventura Mall in Miami will get new boutiques, as will Destin Commons in Destin.

Penguins don't fly.
Nope but they have a good operating system and their clothes are cute too.
There's already an Original Penguin store in the South. Dallas- NorthPark Center.
@Anon,
You are correct. My apologies. I was referring to "the south" not specifically the the southern United States.
As a former South FL resident. I was quite the regular to the OP location in SoBE as well as the Rush St. location in CHI. Great news, though I will lose some of my "Original" pieces to the remainder of ATL :)
lol, a lot of people would consider Texas part of the South! (Not least because it was part of the Confederacy and was a slave state)
Great, wana visit lincoln road brand of original penguin in miami!
