GO! NaanStop Now Open on Broad Street

Brothers Neal and Samir Idnani have officially opened their first bricks and mortar location of NaanStop.  The fast casual Indian restaurant is located at 64 Broad Street downtown, not far fromGeorgia State University's Rialto Center for the Arts.  The restaurant was supposed to have opened a few weeks ago but a variety of issues with the city delayed their opening until now.

The restaurant had a soft opening yesterday but today is the first "real" day.  For now NaanStop will operate abbreviated hours from 11am to 3pm Monday through Friday and will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays.  Plans call for this schedule to change in the future with the possible addition of both dinner and weekend service.

The brothers hope to open a second NaanStop sometime next spring.

In addition to NaanStop, other new Indian eateries have opened or are coming soon to both Peachtree Center and to the Lenox Square food court.

Have you tried any or all of these new Indian eateries?  Do you have a favorite?  Where would you like to see the second NaanStop opened?

I've tried Turmeric (in Peachtree Center) several times and went to the NaanStop today.

My Naanwich was delicious. But it was $6.50 and for the same price, I can get more food at Turmeric (meat, veggies, rice, and bread). So I'm kind of torn here. I'll visit NaanStop a few more times to sample different items, but I'm sure I'll be at both establishments often.

I waited in line for about 10 minutes today and barely got anywhere. After seeing what people got for the money I decided I'd wait until I felt like spending that, and wait for the hype to settle and a few hundred people to drop out of GSU and clear the area a bit. Love the idea of it though, I reeeeally wanted those masala fries.
