Westside Pie is becoming Slice Westside. Westside Pie opened last July on Huff Road at the Apex West Midtown apartments. Bone Lick BBQ from P'Cheen's Mike LaSage also recently openedadjacent to the pizzeria.
Slice was previously on the Westside until its abrupt and mysterious closure in 2008. Their former location on Howell Mill is now a La Fonda Latina restaurant.
The new Slice Westside joins the existing Slice Downtown on Poplar Street near Georgia State University. The change in branding took place August 16th and will be celebrated with a party on September 5th. The change to Slice means the addition of a few signature Slice menu items such as Chico Suave ( skillet bakes mozzarella cheese bread )

The Slice on Howell Mill was unrelated. It coincidentally (and confusingly) had the same name as the other two.
@Darin,
I recall having been told though they were not owned by the same person... the locations were in some way connected...no?
The Slice in Castleberry Hill was related to the Slice on Poplar St downtown. The Slice Pizza on Howell Mill was related to a second Slice Pizza on Glenwood Ave. A CL article from 2007 explored the confusion:

@Darin,
Right you are! Thanks for the history and catch.
I'll miss Westside Pie's dollar slice Monday's though. The best lunch deal in town.
I'm surprised you have done an update on the Lenox rendering. Here is the link to the site if you would like to read. The mall is already a shopping juggernaut but this will only solidify Buckhead's status. Maybe they'll consider updating Phipps too?
