Bojangles' Bringin' More Chicken to the Burbs

Charlotte, North Carolina based Bojangles' Famous Chicken 'n Biscuits is planning a new location in Duluth.

Bojangles' plans to open a new restaurant at the intersection of Duluth Highway & Meadowbrook Parkway in Duluth later this year.  For reference, this new restaurant is about a block from Satellite Boulevard, and about 1.5 miles from Discover Sugarloaf Mills.

The privately held chicken chain has about 500 locations in 11 east coast states, plus DC and Honduras.  Though Bojangles' has expanded heavily as of late, it has yet to penetrate the metro Atlanta market.  I'm told that this void in the metro area is caused by cost prohibitive real estate.

Bojangles' does already have restaurants in both Buford and Lawrenceville, but this will be the chain's first in Duluth. 

Construction has yet to begin but the restaurant is expected to open by the fall.
