Roots Juices is coming to Atlanta
Dallas, Texas-based Roots Juices plans to open in Buckhead at the Shops Around Lenox "in 30 days." The juice shop will open in a shoebox of a space sandwiched between the new Buckhead outpost of Bhojanic and the relocated Gill's Alterations.
Roots seems rather similar to Atlanta-based Dtox and offers fresh pressed juices in to-go ready glass bottles. Roots offers a variety of juice concoctions such as Restore (beets+carrots+apple+aloe+ginger), Pear Pleasure (pear + pineapple), and Lean & Fit (grapefruit+mint), each retailing for seven or eight bucks, comparable to Dtox.
Both Roots and Dtox have carved out a new niche of the juice market by offering fresh pressed juice, void of any preservatives or added sugars. Many operations like Smoothie King and Planet Smoothie often add sugars. frozen fruit or powders for taste or added protein, at times making their products taste better, but be less healthy. Atlanta-based Arden's Garden would be the one exception, as they offer fresh juices in some of their stores, but also sell pasteurized bottled juices.
Dtox opened their Buckhead location last August, almost simultaneously closing their original location in midtown on 6th Street. Although it is located in the heart of Buckhead, their location offers zero street visibility as its located behind a Roswell Road shopping center. Dtox does however have access from Roswell Road, Cains Hill Place and East Andrews Drive.
Given their hard-to-find location and limited parking, Dtox does a significant amount of business via smart car delivery option. Coincidentally, the most recent time I saw the Dtox car delivering was within the Bloomingdale's Lenox Square parking deck, a stone's throw from where Roots will soon open.
Roots will surely become a fast favorite for many yogis and other nutrition enthusiasts, given that they will be so close to both Lululemon Athletica and DEKA, the Atlanta-based active lifestyle boutique.
Roots joins a seemingly fully leased Shops Around Lenox that includes recent openings such as Bevello, Bhojanic and Suitsupply as well as upcoming openings The Impeccable Pig (also from Dallas) and Scotch & Soda.

I am a big fan of DTox. They certainly have a stream of steady followers as well. Interested to see what Roots is like. I know that DTox does wonders for the body.
personally feel this is a tough location. Going to buy yoga clothese does not translate to buying a pressed juice in a corner of a tough parking lot...and, the difference with DTOx and Roots then the others are they are PRESSED like Kale Me Crazy will be in INman Park as well. Not to be compared to a smoothie place or even the juices at Whole Foods in the back of the Buckhead store. pressed holds all of the nutirents in etc....
Any updates on an opening date? I checked the company's website and they still don't have Atlanta listed as a location.
Hi Anon,
I was by the space earlier this week and would say they likely have about 60 days of work to do.
Thanks for your interest and for your readership.
We are open. Come Check us out. Complimentary samples of all our juices. :) 3400 Around Lenox Dr Ste 202-A
