Sprinkles Set to Satisfy Buckhead Sweet Teeth December 13th + More Lenox News!

Sprinkles opening at Lenox Square in Buckhead.

Beverly Hills-based Sprinkles Cupcakes has set what I'm told is a firm date for their opening at Lenox Square.  The popular cupcake shop, delayed over a month, will open December 13th at the front of the posh Buckhead mall.

Sprinkles Lenox will offer not only the shop's signature cupcakes, but also their new ice cream as well.  The cupcake shop will be open from 9 am until 9 pm, and the ice cream shop will operate from noon until midnight.  The shop is able to operate such extended hours due to its location at the mall's new front with exterior access.  The iconic Cupcake ATM will also be onsite and will be stocked throughout the day.  Insiders says Sprinkles is considering the sale of cookies and possibly even doughnuts at the shop as well.

Sprinkles representatives were  interviewing on location at Lenox Square yesterday, and say that construction delays have prevented them from opening sooner.  A source with knowledge of the construction had told me last month that the shop would be open in time for Black Friday, but alas, that was not possible. Near Sprinkles, UGG Australia is also delayed, and is not expecting to be open for at least 10-14 days, but will "definitely be open by Black Friday."

Nike has opened their relocated and expanded two-story store at the front of the mall, as have Sperry TopSider and a relocated Karen Millen.  Lacoste is expected to open within a few weeks.

Zinburger, being developed locally by The Briad Group, is expected to open early next year, while True Food Kitchen, now owned by P.F. Chang's, is five to six months out, according to a source at their Phoenix location.  The nearly $5 million The Cheesecake Factory, relocating from their current location south on Peachtree, is slated to open sometime in the second quarter of next year.

The above photo reflects the progress of the new J.Crew Men's Shop, occupying what was Karen Millen.  The store is slated to open "in December," which is possible, but likely pretty darn close to Christmas.

In the "Fashion Café" (formerly the Lenox Square food court,) Chick-fil-A has opened in their new and relocated space, while Chipotle Mexican Grill is a few weeks away from opening.

Thanks for the updates. I live near Lenox but don't go that often because of the traffic! I wish there was some way to improve getting in and out of the mall! I love Sprinkles and am excited for their addition. Also nice to have Nike back! I recently visted the location in Chicago which is also several stories, and it was very neat.

The front of this mall is going to be one interesting hodgepodge of different styles. IMO, Cheesecake Factory will really cheapen the place.

DO yo have info on the wine bar that was supposed to open down the street (In the former pizza venti location)? I know it was delayed by a fire.

Park at Marta Lot a walk. No need mucking about inside the mall car park.

How is The Cheesecake Factory cheapening the mall when the mall has or used to have Taco Bell and Forever 21? 99 cent tacos and $3 tank tops are just so fancy.

What disappoints me is how Simon is not maintaining these malls well and not adding good tenants. Sure, Lenox is miles ahead of how it was 10 years ago, but they let Nike open a store in a huge, 2 level space at the front of the mall when a new to market retailer, Topshop, could have been brought to that space? Rumour has it they are looking for an Atlanta location, so if Simon could have gone after them.

@Anon RE: Former Pizzeria Venti,

After a number of delays, restaurant, Vine & Tap, should open later this month.

Thanks for the comment and for your readership.
