NaanStop Bringing Bigger Restaurant to Buckhead

NaanStop is planning its Buckhead debut.

Atlanta-based NaanStop is entering the Buckhead market with a location on Piedmont Road near Chipotle Mexican Grill.   Having last year successfully transitioned from popular L.A.-based food truck to successful downtown Atlanta restaurant, the new NaanStop Buckhead builds on the growing brand's early success.

The new restaurant will be about 1700 square feet, or about 500 square feet bigger than their Broad Street location near Georgia State.  Plans call for about five months of construction to transform the former retail space (most recently home to We Buy Gold) to a restaurant.  Samir Idnani, co-founder of NaanStop, tells me he hopes to have the restaurant open late in the second quarter.

Earlier this year, another growing Atlanta-based Indian eatery opening in Buckhead.  Bhojanic, an eatery specializing in Indian tapas, opened at the Shops Around Lenox, an extension of its first location near Decatur on Clairmont. Bhojanic, still casual in its approach, is a higher end option for Indian cuisine.

For those of you who have not  yet visited NaanStop, it's a fast casual Indian eatery with meal options such as the Naanwich and assorted rice bowls and salads and of course, the Mango Lassi, a mango and yogurt smoothie with a hint of cardamom and cinnamon.

Lovie's BBQ, a new barbecue restaurant, is opening in the space directly below NaanStop and has been coming soon for months.  Current intel suggests they should be open in mid January.

Awesome! Is this the space that used to house My Friend's Place? I can't quite picture the mentioned merchant.

@Carl,

Right location, unsure if it's the same "suite." Something called the "PR Store" once existed in the same building too from what I recall, perhaps next to MFP.

Thanks for your readership and commenting.
