ParQ Atlanta Closed for "Holidays"?

Midtown restaurant mysteriously closes for unspecified "holidays."

According to an observant reader, ParQ Atlanta, on Piedmont Avenue in midtown, is closed until further notice.   The restaurant, located at 1071 Piedmont Avenue, next to Willy's Mexicana Grill, and on the edge of Piedmont Park, posted a sign on its door saying "Happy Holidays and we'll see you when we get back from the festivities."  A previous sign indicated that they had changed their hours and would not be open on Mondays due to “winter hours.”

ParQ Atlanta is the current name of the restaurant originally known as Quattro.  The restaurant was forced to change its name in 2011 following a trademark infringement claim from a Chicago-based operation by the same name.

The current ParQ space was also previously home to Gold Star Cafe & Bakery.  Given its location in the heart of midtown and adjacent to Piedmont Park, I'm confident if ParQ is actually closed for good, the space will not stay vacant for long.

Are you a fan of ParQ?
Would you be surprised if ParQ was closed for good?
What type of concept would you like to see open in place of ParQ?

Parq has been listed for sale and as "under contract" with Schumacher Group. I'm thinking Park's Edge has bought the biz, but who knows?

Best laugh I've had all day! Incidentally, I noticed MARcoastal is also closed for the January holidays.
