Johnny Was has opened its newest location at Phipps Plaza, its first in Atlanta. The Boho Chic retailer replaced the first floor space of Bebe, which consolidated its Buckhead operations into an enlarged and relocated store at Lenox Square.
A new ALDI is coming to 553 Riverstone Parkway in Canton. The new ALDI will open in Riverstone Mill Shopping Center and will occupy just over 17,000 square feet. Dollar Tree is already open in a 10,100 square foot space next door.
New Mattress Firm and Verizon Wireless locations are being built at the corner of Gravel Springs Road and Buford Drive in Buford. The new stores are being built in an outparcel of the existing Sam's Club. Krispy Kreme is already open in the warehouse club's parking lot.
OshKosh B'Gosh and Carter's have opened at Peachtree Battle shopping center. The two children's retailers are currently celebrating their Grand Opening and opened in what was most recently a Keller Williams realty office.
A new Zaxby's is coming to Statesboro. The new Zaxby's will be built on Chandler Road.
Belle Chambre will begin what they are calling a "Retirement Sale" on Thursday May 1st. The linens & lingerie retailer has been in business for 24 years and is currently located at West Paces Ferry Shopping Center in Buckhead. Bell Chambre was previously located on Pharr Road, not far from the Atlanta Fish Market. The store has been closed for the past few days in preparation for the sale.
According to a restaurant spokesperson, The Cheesecake Factory's last day at their current Buckhead location is May 31st. Plans call for the new Cheesecake Factory at the front of Lenox Square to open June 5th.
Tuesday Morning is opening a new location in Kennesaw. The closeout retailer will replace what was most recently a SchoolBox and before that may have been a ZanyBrainy.
Wendy's on Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw is renovating. The location will undergo the corporate initiative known as "image activation" and should sport a modern new look and reopen in a few weeks.
The Bishop will open Tuesday May 6th in Avondale Estates.
Kendra Scott has opened at Shops Around Lenox. The Buckhead outpost is the first for the Austin, Texas-based retailer. A second location is slated for Avalon in Alpharetta later this fall.

The new Tuesday Morning in Kennesaw (actually with a Marietta 30066 mailing address) will open in a space recently vacated by The School Box. Prior to that it was home to Pier 1 Imports, and even earlier was Zany Brainy.
