Enzo's to Relocate, Cook-Out to open in Tucker?

Burgers to replace pizza in Tucker?

Enzo's Pizza, a popular neighborhood pizza shop in Tucker, will soon relocate to another location nearby.  Currently located on Hugh Howell Road in a former Hardee's, Enzo's plans to reopen less than half a mile away on Cowan Road in the former Peach Cafeteria.  Signage at their current location indicates that Enzo's has been in business since 2007.

Local sources indicate the move is to allow for North Carolina-based Cook Out  to open in Enzo's current space. Cook Out's corporate office was unable to confirm plans for the location, but has been aggressively expanding in the greater metro Atlanta area.

Privately held Cook Out entered the Georgia market in 2013, and today has twenty-one locations open in the state, with a twenty-second coming soon to west Cobb. In addition to North Carolina and Georgia, Cook Out also operates in South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.

Cook Out is known for offering ridiculously affordable food and being incredibly busy.  A standard Cook Out combo which includes a sandwich, two sides and a drink costs five bucks and can be upgraded for a buck to one of the chain's 40+ milkshake flavors.

Where would you like to see the next Cook Out open in Atlanta?  What is your favorite Cook Out menu item?  Do you think Enzo's a chosen a good spot for their relocation?

Cook out burgers and cheer wine are the best. Focus on the burgers and chili and the grilled chicken is top notch - all taste like from a backyard cook out. The other combo items well you get what you pay for. Buddy's at the corner of BrookChambleeHaven peach tree Blvd and johnsons Ferry is perfect for cookout. More perfect for another Starbucks. I bet when whole foods go in across the street that Starbucks builds at buddy's. The former Empty McDonald's on Buford near clairmont great for cookout also.

I saw some help wanted postings for management jobs on Indeed for a Cook Out location in Tucker a month or two back. So, it does seem they are moving ahead with the project.

Yes would love one in East Cobb. Maybe in the old McDonald's near the big chicken.

Great news for Tucker! Hopefully this new Enzos will include an outdoor seating area (best feature of the current location). Do you have any updates on the Zaxby's nearby? I was hoping that building would be torn down, but don't see any progress at all and it was supposed to reopen this fall.

Can't wait to try Cookout. It's great that Tucker and Northlake are finally getting new retail and restaurants. Thanks for keeping us updated. Love your blog.

I think ZAXBY's has given up on Tucker

Not sure if Zaxby's has given up on Tucker, but they are opening a new store on Chamblee Tucker Rd in the Embry Hills area just a couple of miles down the road.
