Culver's Bringing ButterBurgers to Braselton

Earlier today, ToNeTo Atlanta revealed that Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin-based Culver's is planning a new restaurant in Kennesaw.  Now comes word they are coming to Braselton, in Gwinnett, too!  The new burger restaurant will be located just off State Route 211 (Old Winder Highway) in an out-parcel of the new High Point Medical mixed-use development.
As in Kennesaw, Culver's will be joined by Dunkin' Donuts and likely a number of other restaurant and retail tenants in the center, as Norton, the developer, is offering as many as eight out-parcel pad sites.

The property is a short distance from Chateau Elan and also close to the new Northeast Georgia Medical Center Hospital which opened in 2015.

If all goes well, construction on the Braselton restaurant could begin by the end of the year and it could open by next summer.

For the uninitiated, Culver's is most well known for their frozen custard and signature "ButterBurgers."  Culver's menu also includes a variety of sides such as Wisconsin cheese curds, onion rings and coleslaw, as well as assorted salads and soups.  The popular burger eatery operates over 600 locations in twenty-three states.

Sources say that another Culver's is planned for the Johns Creek/Alpharetta area, but while a franchisee has been selected, a location has not yet been finalized.

Are you excited for the addition of Culver's to Braselton?  If given the choice of Culver's, Freddy's or Steak & Shake, which would you choose?  Where would you like to see Culver's open next?

Please share your thoughts below.

This is real progress for that area. Because no one should ever be further than about 4 miles from 5 different hamburger restaurant choices. What do they call that unfortunate condition - a hamburger desert?

I love Culver's. Used to drive all the way to Tucker when it was there. Why not closer in town?

@John,

I'm unaware of there ever having been a Culver's in Tucker. Are you possibly thinking of Sheridan's Frozen Custard at Cofer Crossing which occupied a former Donatos Pizza?

Thanks as always for your comments and readership.

I think he's talking about Carvel Ice Cream, in Northlake Festival. A fave of the Northeast.
