[Fresh Baked] Le Bon Nosh to Debut at The Irby in Buckhead Village in 2020

A new concept called Le Bon Nosh is the first announced tenant to be opening at The Irby in Buckhead's West Village.  Forough Vakili plans to open the new concept at The Irby, a Broadstone Community, located at 65 Irby Avenue. Le Bon Nosh will occupy suites 102 and 103, totaling 4,333 square feet plus an outdoor patio, in a suite at the corner of Irby Avenue and Paces Ferry Place. The new bakery, cafe and marketplace is scheduled to open  Summer 2020 with the property reportedly expected to welcome its first residents within the next 90 days.

The Irby, currently under construction, will be a 12-story building with 277 luxury apartment units located in Buckhead's West Village.

Le Bon Nosh marks the Atlanta debut of Founder and Executive Chef, Forough Vakili.  "Celebrating simple and local ingredient driven dishes served in an open and welcoming environment, Le Bon Nosh looks to transcend your typical café experience with the addition of a thoughtfully curated market, with an emphasis on food education."

“The bulk of our offerings will come directly from local farmers and purveyors,” Forough Vakili notes.  Enjoy a breakfast at the counter, choosing from an array of freshly baked breads and pastries - or stay and enjoy a meal from the seasonal menu.

"Le Bon Nosh is a Chef-Driven Concept reintroducing food in its simplistic essence. It consists of a Café that offers espresso drinks and teas, baked goods, a daily menu with breakfast and lunch options as well as prepared foods for takeaway."

"The educational component of the concept will focus on live demonstrations and introduction of new ingredients to the market patrons."

Le Bon Nosh’s interiors will be designed by Los Angeles design firm, Commune.

Sources with knowledge of the plans for Le Bon Nosh likened it to a cross between EatZi's and Alon's.

The Le Bon Nosh concept will put it in competition with the business that The Irby replaced. Henri's Bakery was located at 61 Irby Avenue from 1969 until 2017 when it relocated to Andrews Square (56 East Andrews Drive) around the corner from their longtime home.
Following the lease to Le Bon Nosh, there remains available just over 8,800 square feet of retail space, currently split between five spaces.  Sources close to the project indicate there are LOIs (Letters of Intent) signed with at least two other would-be tenants.

Are you excited for the addition of Le Bon Nosh to the dining options in Buckhead Village? Do you still miss EatZi's?  What is your favorite bakery cafe in metro Atlanta?
