[SPECIAL] Robert Talbott Blow Out Hits Buckhead

Luxury menswear retailer Robert Talbott is going through a restructuring of sorts and as a result was forced to liquidate all merchandise.  This situation has created a unique opportunity for residents in Atlanta where the "Robert Talbott Clearance Store" opened Thursday.  The store, located in the "Disco Kroger" shopping center at 3330 Piedmont Road, features the full line of Robert Talbott apparel and will continue to get new merchandise in the coming days and weeks.
Robert Talbott was established in 1950 and its seven fold ties became quite popular in subsequent years.  The company made much of its merchandise domestically but also in Italy, among other locations.  The brand was carried in Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom as well as smaller boutiques like Guffey's.

The clearance store is slated to remain open until late January or until all merchandise has been sold.  All merchandise is currently being offered at between 30% and half off.    Given the quantity of merchandise, several million dollars worth, there will actually be multiple clearance stores open but the Buckhead store will be the "flagship."  The company operating the stores plans to open additional "clearance stores" in the coming weeks in Raleigh and Charlotte, North Carolina as well as Houston and Dallas, Texas.

Robert Talbott closed its boutique at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta this past July as well as stores in Dallas, New York and in Monterrey, California where the company was headquartered.

The same restructuring company handing the Robert Talbott liquidation, handled the liquidation of merchandise from the Kit + Ace store in late 2017/early 2018

Fortunately, ToNeTo Atlanta has fostered a good working relationship with the owners and they have once again agreed to offer readers of ToNeTo Atlanta an additional 10% off their total purchase.
