[EXCLUSIVE] Culver's to Open in Woodstock

Culver's, the Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin-based quick-serve burger restaurant famous for its "ButterBurgers," cheese curds and concretes, has plans to open what will be its nineteenth Georgia location in the coming months.  The new restaurant, to be located at 11799 Highway 92 in Woodstock, will be a new build roughly 4,300 square foot eatery on a roughly 1.75 acre parcel.  The restaurant will be located at the corner of Highway 92 and Neese Road, a stone's throw from the sprawling First Baptist Church of Woodstock.
The new Woodstock location will be the second Culver's on Highway 92 following the opening last month of a new Culver's off Exit 277 of I-75 in Acworth.

The burger chain, with an almost cult-like following, entered the Georgia market in 2016 with a location in Dawsonville, just north of the North Georgia Premium Outlets.  Today, Culver's operates Georgia locations in Dawsonville, Cumming, Grovetown, Lawrenceville, Braselton, Newnan, Kennesaw, Buford, Suwanee, Gainesville, Commerce, Savannah, McDonough, Pooler, Canton, Sugar Hill, Jasper and Acworth.  There are still no plans for a location ITP but here's to hoping!
Culver's, along with Wichita, Kansas-based Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, have both expanded in Georgia and elsewhere, while established competitors like Steak 'n Shake struggle to compete and stay relevant.

Atlanta-based private equity firm Roark Capital Group in October 2017 purchased a "minority interest" in Culver's for an undisclosed sum.  For the uninitiated, Culver's is most well known for their frozen custard and signature "ButterBurgers." Culver's menu also includes a variety of sides such as Wisconsin cheese curds, onion rings and coleslaw, as well as salads and soups.  The popular burger eatery, which was founded in 1984, today operates more than 700 locations in twenty-five states.

Are you excited for the addition of more Culver's to metro Atlanta?  If given the choice of Culver's, Freddy's or Steak & Shake, which would you choose?  Where would you like to see Culver's open next?

Went to the one in Lawrenceville and it was so good. Would definitely go more often if one opened in the Perimeter area.

Having come from MN where we had both, Culver's quality is definitely a notch above Freddy's.

Please have a good supply of your lemon ice for the smoothies. Every time I go to the one in Canton, GA you never have it!!

Would be nice for Culver's to stop tip toeing around the Perimeter. It's like the Zaxby's fiasco from years ago.

I remember as a kid in Chicago, we would stop at Culver's each trip to Wisconsin to see my grandparents. I didn't appreciate how awesome they were then. Decades later, I'm sharing the joy with my kids.
I'm super excited for the Woodstock location to open.
If you haven't tried them, you're missing out!
