Recently updated signage indicates that a seafood restaurant will replace Wade's in Smyrna. According to a ToNeTo Atlanta reader, new signage displaying "Ben's Seafood & Bar" recently went up at the two story restaurant at 1061 Concord Road. Wade's, co-owned and managed by Smyrna area resident Jason McClure, closed in August after about four years in business.
Mulan specializes in dishes from all regions in China, from Szechuan, Shanghai, Beijing to Mongolia in addition to sushi and sashimi. Moto Asian Cuisine leans heavily into Japanese fare (sushi and hibachi) and Thai dishes.
It's unclear exactly what Ben's menu will consist of, but documents filed in June refer to the business as "Ben's Crab Smyrna Corp." which seems to suggest that it will be a crab focused seafood eatery, a specialty that has exploded in popularity in recent years. The Smyrna area is already home to two popular Crab-centric eateries: The Juicy Crab and The Pirate's Boil, both on Cobb Parkway, with a third, Louisiana Crab Shack, expected to open in the former Ruby Tuesday on South Cobb Drive.
Are you pleased to see a seafood [crab joint] replace Wade's? What type of restaurant do you think Smyrna needs most? Speaking of Smyrna, how far do you you think the Braves will go in the postseason?

We have too many similar concepts in the area. I will miss Wade's. Thinking we need a good Mediterranean or tapas place.
agree
Seriously? There's probably a half dozen crab leg places within 10 miles of this place. Might as well add this to the death watch.
It would be a plus if they sold fried catfish. I miss Uncle Bud's on Concord.
Seriously, should have made it WOOFs OTP...the gay sports bar.
It would succeed.
Sea Food seems like a puzzling concept for a standalone and isolated restaurant.
Isolated in the sense, it is not near other restaurants.
Hopefully they have sushi like their 2 other restaurants. Since Maru Sushi closed, there's no good quality sushi in the area.
Wades was so good. I miss that place
This restaurant is so bad it's unbelievable. I wonder how long before it will close. I'm surprised it's lasted this long.
