Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse plans to officially reopen at Phipps Plaza in Buckhead Wednesday November 17. The restaurant, which occupies a roughly 10,000 square foot space on the first level of the popular Buckhead mall, has been closed since July 2020 as a result of COVID-19 related shutdowns. The restaurant was once expected to reopen last October, but then we were told that it was closed for good. Things changed this past June when ToNeTo Atlanta exclusively reported that the restaurant would, in fact, reopen.
To celebrate the restaurant's return, Davio's will host a "VIP Opening Party" on November 16th where a wide variety of "Davio's classics" will be offered, as well as select wine, champagne and cocktails. Tickets for the event are $50 per person, with 100% of the proceeds being donated to the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
Davio's reopening at Phipps Plaza comes on the heels of the opening of Alon's Bakery & Market at the mall which debuted September 20th along Peachtree Road, next to Nordstrom. Former neighboring restaurants Agency Socialthèque and The Tavern at Phipps shuttered this year and last year, respectively, with no plans to reopen. Grand Lux Cafe, which also closed last summer due to COVID-19, reopened earlier this year. Genuine Pizza closed in early 2019 and its space was earlier this year used to expand existing retailer Valentino.
