[EXCLUSIVE] Original ChopShop to Open in Alpharetta

A new restaurant offering healthy bowls, sandwiches, wraps, juices and shakes, among other items, has inked its second lease in metro Atlanta with a third in the works.  Original ChopShop, a concept we've heard great things about but have yet to try, will join several new businesses opening at 10800 Haynes Bridge Road in Alpharetta near North Point Mall.

Original ChopShop features a rather diverse menu with several protein bowls, wraps, sandwiches and salads in addition to acai and pitaya bowls, avocado toast and other breakfast wraps and bowls, protein shakes and cold brew coffee.  Fresh juices and lemonades, assorted sides like sweet potato hash with kale and onion, and a kids' menu are also offered.

ToNeTo Atlanta reported October 16 that Original ChopShop's first metro Atlanta location will be in South Buckhead where the restaurant will backfill a former Panera at 2274 Peachtree Road in Peachtree Square shopping center.

The first Original ChopShop opened in Scottsdale, Arizona in February 2013.   There are currently seventeen locations of the Original ChopShop open in Arizona and Texas with five more, including the two Atlanta outposts, "coming soon," in the next year, according to the company's website.

In Alpharetta, Original ChopShop joins Cava, which recently opened in a former Zoes Kitchen, as well as Bolay, which is slated to replace a former Corner Bakery later this summer, in offering healthier fast-casual options.  ToNeTo Atlanta previously reported that a third metro Atlanta location of Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar will also open at the 10800 Haynes Bridge Road project with a third location of Food Terminal slated to open Friday March 18 in a former Fuddruckers nearby.  All of these new restaurants are in addition to the recently opened Studio Movie Grill on North Point Parkway and the planned multi-phase redevelopment of a significant portion of what is currently known as North Point Mall

Current plans call for the south Buckhead outpost of Original ChopShop to open "late summer 2022" and for the Alpharetta location to open "late 2022."

Have you been to Original ChopShop?  If so, do you believe that it inspired Flower Child?  Where would you like to see Original ChopShop open next in metro Atlanta?
