[EXCLUSIVE] Arden's Garden Bringing its Healthy Eats to South Atlanta UTBAPH

Arden's Garden plans to open a new location at 5238 Old National Highway in south Atlanta.   The new juice and smoothie eatery is opening in a onetime Pizza Hut that property records indicate was first built in 1973.  The building is about 1,800 square feet and sits on one acre of land.

Leslie Zinn, daughter of the late Arden Zinn, who founded the popular juice joint in 1995, today helms the company which has 16 retail stores open and produces bottled juice for hundreds of wholesale accounts around the southeast.

The new Old National store will be third in south Atlanta joining existing locations on Main Street in East Point and on Sylvan Road in East Point where the store is attached to the company's sprawling production facility.  In addition to the company's cold-pressed juices and fresh smoothies, the new Old National location will also offer made to order wraps and bowls alongside their pre-made snacks and salads.

The Main Street shop in East Point is company's best performing chain-wide, something Zinn attributes to its presence in what she and others consider a food desert.

The Old National location is situated just off I-285 - outside the perimeter - and marks the company's 17th location overall.  Given the company's existing presence in the area, faith in the market and commitment to the community, Zinn purchased the Old National property in late 2020.  COVID, among other things, contributed to the delayed opening, but a company representative tells ToNeTo Atlanta that an opening is currently slated for June 17th at 11AM.  (Opening on the 17th seems especially fitting for the locally owned company's 17th store.)

Many of the chain's locations are within metro Atlanta, but the company also has units as far north as Athens and as far south as Newnan.  The company also last year debuted a new look and a new location of their of their Sandy Springs store, now in Springs Landing along Johnson Ferry Road, across from City Springs.

Assorted sampling, giveaways, specials and other activities are planned for opening day.

Are you pleased to see Arden's Garden opening on Old National Highway?  What is your favorite juice or smoothie?  Where else in metro Atlanta would you like to see Arden's Garden open?
