[MEATS!] Yeero Village to Open New Location in Former Lawrenceville Arby's

Opa! Gus Tselios, the eccentric owner of the Marietta Diner and a host of other themed restaurants, has secured space for a second location of his popular Yeero Village restaurant.  The new Yeero Village will be located in a converted former Arby's at 4865 Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville.

Locals indicate that the Arby's closed at the end of 2023 after more than two decades in business.  Gwinnett County property records suggest that the restaurant opened in 2000 and is about 2,700 square feet.

Tselios opened the original Yeero Village in a converted former Back Yard Burgers at the corner of Sandy Plains Road and Highway 92 in Roswell in November 2015.  Like the upcoming location, the existing restaurant (4751 Sandy Plains Road) features a drive-thru window but is a bit bigger with property records indicating that it's about 3,300 square feet.

Yeero Village is a casual restaurant featuring a wide variety of classic Greek dishes like gyros, moussaka, and souvlaki platters.

Arby's, owned by Atlanta-based Inspire Brands, has closed several locations in metro Atlanta in recent years including units in Sandy Springs and Alpharetta that were converted into new Chipotle Mexican Grills.

In addition to Marietta Diner and Yeero Village, Tselios and his Marietta Family Restaurants includes Cherokee Chophouse, Pasta Bella, Marietta Fish Market, and Casa Grande Bar & Grill.

Yeero Village will be the first Tselios concept to have a second location.  According to a post on the restaurant's social media page, Yeero Village Lawrenceville is "coming soon."

Are you excited about the opening of Yeero Village in Lawrenceville?  What is your favorite Marietta Family Restaurants eatery?  Who in Atlanta do you think makes the best gyro wrap?
