Popular soup, salad and sandwich eatery Souper Jenny is on the move! In an Instagram post this month Souper Jenny founder Jenny Levison confirms that her Brookhaven shop will move a few miles up the road to Chamblee next spring.
In the Instagram post confirming the move, Levinson says of the new space: "More space, more parking, more community." Souper Jenny first opened as what was described at the time to be a temporary pop-up at the end of 2014. The new location replaces longtime restaurant Ruchi Bangladeshi Cuisine which is due to close at the end of dinner service December 29th.
For their part, Ruchi, which first opened in 2017, plans to reopen in the area next summer, but a location/lease has not been finalized.
Planning documents suggest Levinson plans to slightly expand the rear of the restaurant and hopes to open this upcoming June.
There are currently five Souper Jenny locations across metro Atlanta in Brookhaven, Buckhead, Decatur, Roswell, and on the Westside.
