The Roswell outpost of Taqueria Tsunami Latin-Asian Kitchen is on the move. Roswell planning documents suggest and an employee at the restaurant confirms that the locally owned eatery is looking to move about three miles away later this summer.
The new Taqueria Tsunami will be located at 982 Canton Street in historic downtown Roswell beside Ipp's Pasaria & Bar. The freestanding building that has over the years been home to a number of other restaurants, including Nine Street Kitchen, Grand Champion BBQ, and most recently, Bayou'Q.
The restaurant is part of Marietta-based Fork U Concepts, a management company that also includes Stockyard Burgers and Bones, Forno Vero, Silla Del Toro, Cotto Modern Italian, and Southern Prospect. Taqueria Tsunami and its nine locations is easily the group's largest "chain" concept.
Locations of the Latin-Asian eatery previously closed in Buckhead near Peachtree Battle and along Roswell Road in Sandy Springs, two blocks north of I-285, as well as another in The Outlet Shoppes at the Bluegrass in Simpsonville, Kentucky. A location at The Exchange @ Gwinnett in Buford that opened in November 2023 quietly closed this past December after little more than a year in business.
A mini Taqueria Tsunami opened earlier this month at Truist Park as part of the stadium's "Outfield Market" food stall program.
Are you pleased to see Taqueria Tsunami moving to Canton Street in Roswell? Have you been to a Braves game yet to experience "Outfield Market"? Where else in metro Atlanta would you like to see Taqueria Tsunami open?

This is very disappointing. I frequent this restaurant often. Canton Street is inconvenient and the parking is horrible. I hate to see it go.
Carbrain losers always gotta bitch and moan about muh parking. Shut up.
Great news! They should do very well on Canton Street and I don't mind the short walk from parking. We ALL could use the exercise here in CarCrazy town.
Carbrain losers? You're referring to 97% of the American population.
