Growing drive-thru coffee shop 7 Brew is looking to bring its business to Sandy Springs. The new 7 Brew is proposed for a currently vacant lot at 6400 Roswell Road, just north of where LongHorn Steakhouse closed its longstanding restaurant last May. The parcel is .63 acres, according to property documents.
Founded in Arkansas in 2017, 7 Brew has become one of the fastest-growing drive-thru coffee chains in the country offering a menu of craft coffee drinks as well as specialty espresso beverages, teas, energy drinks, and Italian sodas. The business gets its name from the fact that when the company launched, they offered 7 original coffees.
The company boasts an impressive AUV (Average Unit Volume) of approximately $2 million and has surpassed 350 units this year, with agreements for more than 2,000 additional units, according to its FDD (Franchise Disclosure Document).
There are currently thirteen 7 Brew locations in Georgia including units in Snellville and Buford, but the majority of their presence is in smaller communities around the state. There is at least one more location planned alongside a new Whataburger in Flowery Branch.
Rival drive-thru coffee operator Dutch Bros. is also expanding its metro Atlanta presence, and as ToNeTo Atlanta has reported in recent months, has locations coming soon to Johns Creek, Lawrenceville, Tucker, and Roswell, among others.
There is already a Starbucks close to the planned Sandy Springs 7 Brew, but it occupies an inline location within the Publix-anchored Abernathy Square shopping center. Real estate sources suggest that Starbucks is biding its time until it can replace the Hardee's that is somehow still in business in the center and would provide Starbucks an all-important drive-thru.
Have you been to 7 Brew? What is your favorite chain coffee shop? Where else in metro Atlanta would you like to see 7 Brew open?

I saw there is one about to open in Austell on East-West Connector beside Five Below.
Visited one of these in Columbia, SC. It was a pretty impressive operation with a lot of cars in line despite it being after noon. The lines moved quickly and my daughter says she likes this place over the other coffee places in town.
leave that Hardee's alone, always busy and needed in that area.
I despise drive throughs.
looking forward to trying it!
