ToNeTo Atlanta first reported on the planned entry of Dutch Bros. Coffee into the Atlanta market in November 2023 and we are pleased to report now that the company will open their first location in the metro this week.
As with nearly all Dutch Bros., the new Johns Creek location will be drive-thru only, with no on-premise seating but a takeout window, too.
The Dutch Bros. beverage menu is diverse, with coffees, teas, sodas, smoothies, lemonades, and energy drinks, among other offerings, while its food menu is quite limited. According to the Dutch Bros website, the food selections (referred to as "Snacks") include only a chocolate chip muffin top, orange cranberry muffin top, lemon poppy seed muffin top, and a granola bar. That said, the company is said to be testing additional food offerings that could be launched company-wide as soon as next year.
Brothers of Dutch descent Dane and Travis Boersma started the business as a pushcart in Grants Pass, Oregon in 1992. The company began franchising in 1999, and after growing to several hundred units, ceased offering new franchises as of 2017, although franchisees still operate some locations. Dutch Bros. became a publicly traded company in 2021 and trades on the NYSE under ticker "BROS."
Additional Atlanta area Dutch Bros. locations are expected to open later this fall at 2465 Buford Drive in Lawrenceville and 4545 Hugh Howell Road in Tucker. Another Atlanta area location is planned for 705 Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell, which was for nearly 50 years home to a Captain D's restaurant before its closure this past November.
ToNeTo Atlanta is tracking several other Dutch Bros. planned for various communities around the greater metro Atlanta area.

I wonder if any of them are planned for Marietta? There's a new building that only recently found out was going to be a Chipotle. It would've been a better place for another coffee place.
I used to occasionally get a coffee at Dutch Bros when I lived in Oregon. There were better choices in the area, especially some of the locals, and Dutch Bros was usually a stop by only for convenience sakes.
I never had any of the other drinks, though, and that might be their attraction to others.
I can't stand drive throughs and refuse to participate in their use.
Went to the one in Warner Robins. It was pretty good!
So happy this is here in Georgia! Their food is limited because people honestly go for their drinks and the vibes. They used to have bagels at some locations awhile back, though.
Then don't. I, for one, appreciate them.
We’re so excited for Dutch Bros!! Their chocolate frosty-milkshake is yummm…It’s a whole vibe…🤙🏼
They have great fries too. Can’t get any better
Bet you're fat.
I’ve been once in Nashville. It seems to be heaven for people that like a lot of sugar and flavoring in their coffee drinks.
Just drink sugar and flavoring in a cup. Same thing.
Uh, I would like another drive through option besides Starbucks to get a black coffee.
I discovered Dutch Bros where visiting my son in the Phoenix area. The first place he took me to for coffee now every time I go I make sure to go to the Dutch Bros. It’s my favorite. I’ve been For them to open up in Burnett county, Georgia. This location actually is close to my work so happy.
Curious, where is this new Chipotle?
I’d like to know where the new Burger King is actually
Their Nashville Hot Chicken Latte is a real butt burner
It's in an out parcel in front of the Regal Cinemas I go see all my movies at. It replaced a Jiffy Lube. The cops had traffic blocked off getting into the rest of the plaza because of the lines of people waiting to get into this place. I had to tell one officer that i was NOT there for coffee, so I could proceed into the plaza to go see the movie I'd already paid for.
Far as all the traffic for this place, I'm wondering what the big deal is. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I'm not sure why everyone was losing their minds.
