[EXCLUSIVE] Popular Alpharetta Pub Shutters With Plans For Steakhouse to Replace it

After about eleven and half years in Alpharetta , Salt Factory Pub has closed.  The eatery, located at 102 South Main Street, officially closed as of July 6, according to a message on the restaurant's website. Although it's not mentioned in the post, local sources (and Joe Duffy) indicate a familiar restaurant will soon open in its place.

"After 15 years, we find ourselves at a moment we never imagined would come — saying goodbye to a place that has been part of our hearts, our lives, and our story. The Salt Factory in Alpharetta was never just a business. It was a home. A place where friendships were born, where regulars became family, where laughter echoed through the walls, and where, together, we weathered some of the hardest storms — from economic hardships to the unimaginable weight of a global pandemic," the announcement said in part.

The announcement also included a quote from Winne-the-Pooh creator A.A. Milne: "How lucky we are to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."

Little Alley Steak, which, like Salt Factory, is owned by F&H Food Trading Group, is reportedly opening soon in place of the pub.  Business partners Hicham Azhari and Fikret Kovak opened the first Salt Factory Pub on Canton Street in Historic Downtown Roswell in 2008 and later added Little Alley Steak, also on Canton Street, in 2012.  A Buckhead outpost of Little Alley, about three times larger than the original, opened in May 2018.

Over the years, the duo also operated several other concepts, but today operate only Salt Factory (in Roswell and Woodstock) and Little Alley (in Roswell and Buckhead.)  A franchise location of Little Alley in Huntsville's MidCity District opened last May.

Given the Alpharetta space was last renovated more than a decade ago, sources say the group does plan to significantly upgrade the onetime KFC to suit the needs of the upscale steakhouse.  There is currently no set timetable for when the new Little Alley Steak will open.

Did you know that Salt Factory Pub Alpharetta has closed?  Are you pleased to hear the Little Alley Steak is opening in Alpharetta?  What is your favorite Alpharetta area restaurant?

Great news on Little Alley!
Confused as to ownership…who owned Salt in Alpharetta? Same owners of Little Alley? Thanks.

sounds like it - Hicham Azhari and Fikret Kovak's company F&H own both concepts. Not sure there is a need for two Little Alley locations that close together. I can't peeps in Alpharetta thing Rowell is too far to travel for a high end steakhouse....
