[ALERT] Simply Done Donuts Calls it Quits in Duluth

The owners of Simply Done Donuts announced Thursday that they will be closing their popular Duluth donut shop after nearly ten years in business.  The shop is located at 3550 W. Lawrenceville Street #340 in downtown Duluth.

Karissa and Joey Tuttle launched their mini donut business as a food truck in 2015 before opening their Duluth brick & mortar in 2017.  The couple partnered with Joey's mother Susie to open a second shop at 2109 S. Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa that opened in August 2019.  Ultimately, health challenges paired with the effects of the pandemic led them to close the Tampa shop in November 2023.

According to their Instagram post announcing the closure, the Tuttles will maintain the donut truck and catering services following the closure of the Duluth shop.

Simply Done's closure comes on the heels of the closure of Doughnut Dollies in Marietta after about ten years in business.

Are you surprised to see Simply Done Donuts closing in Duluth?  What is your favorite donut flavor?  Who in Atlanta do you think makes the best donut?

Don't we have enough independent donut shops that are not Dunkin?

Not surprised. Their hours weren’t great and the donuts were just okay and overpriced for what they were.

“Not surprised” copy and paste to every post ad infinitum.

Yeah, and you complain about it every time. So you’re guilty of the same thing.
