[EXCLUSIVE] Shake Shack and 7 Brew Joining Raising Cane's at Retail Redevelopment

ToNeTo Atlanta has learned that Shake Shack (NYSE: SHAK) plans to open a new drive-thru location in Kennesaw.  The new restaurant, planned for Barrett Parkway, would open alongside new locations of 7 Brew and Raising Cane's on the site of the former and That! retail store.  

Shake Shack, which got its start as a food cart in New York's Madison Square Park in 2004, has today grown into a publicly traded company with nearly 400 locations across the country and more than 600 worldwide.   

In metro Atlanta, Shake Shack currently operates nine units: Buckhead Village District and Lenox Square in Buckhead, Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody, EDGE on the Atlanta BeltLine in Old Fourth Ward, Concourse A of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Alpharetta Crossing in Alpharetta, Piedmont Park in Midtown, at Westside Provisions District in West Midtown and their newest at The Battery Atlanta, which opened this past June.  

Shack Shack confirmed in May that they will soon open a second overall "Support Center" at The Battery in the coming months.  The move, something we predicted could happen when former Arby's and Papa Johns executive Rob Lynch was named CEO of Shake Shack last May, is being called not "just another Support Center" but "a launchpad for innovation."  

A new drive-thru enabled Shake Shack is also coming to Athens, where it will replace a Gusto! which closed this past March at 161 Alps Road.   

7 Brew, a growing drive-thru only coffee concept currently has sixteen locations in Georgia - including those in Buford and Snellville - with several more in the works.
