[EXCLUSIVE] Local Restaurant Group Sold, Significant Growth Planned

Big Table Restaurants, operators of  HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern and Cattle Shed Wine & Steak Bar, has been acquired.  The seven unit group was purchased last week by an undisclosed out-of-state firm.

Sean and Becky Yeremyan opened the first HOBNOB in a former Caribou Coffee at Piedmont Avenue and Monroe Drive in 2010.  That location has since closed but the couple has expanded the concept to six other locations: Alpharetta, Atlantic Station, Brookhaven, Dunwoody, Vinings, and Peachtree City.  The couple introduced a sibling concept, Cattle Shed Wine & Steak Bar, at Halcyon in Alpharetta in 2021.

Financial terms of the transaction have not been and likely will not be made public.  The Yeremyans will remain involved in the business with the buyer having enlisted Chicago-based Bottleneck Management to manage the restaurants.

The purchase will allow the brand to execute on "a new strategic growth plan designed to double its current footprint in the metro-Atlanta and surrounding area by the end of 2030," according to a statement exclusively provided to ToNeTo Atlanta.

Bottleneck's involvement is expected to bolster [Big Table's] infrastructure and strengthen its operational capabilities as it plots its growth.

Our restaurants were built around the idea of bringing people together,” said Sean Yeremyan, founder of Big Table Restaurants. “We are excited about this partnership because it gives us the resources to grow, while staying true to what has always made HOBNOB and Cattle Shed so special to our guests.”

Prior to HOBNOB, Bottleneck's portfolio comprised eight different concepts including five restaurants, two "virtual brands," and a private event space.  HOBNOB marks the group's first foray into Georgia with their current brands present in Texas, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania.

Bottleneck describes its portfolio as follows:

"Multiple concepts with distinct differences, each location features modern American cuisine, an expansive beverage program, thoughtful interior design and a team that is driven to impress."

HOBNOB is the latest in a string of Atlanta-based restaurants to be acquired by private groups following the October 2020 purchase of Mary Mac's Tea Room and January 2024 purchase of The Vortex, both by Fresh Hospitality.
