Dutch Bros. Coffee opened its newest Atlanta area location October 31 at 4545 Hugh Howell on the site of a former Sonic in Tucker. ToNeTo Atlanta exclusively reported on the planned opening this past January. Another Atlanta area location at is expected to open next week, potentially as soon as November 3, at 2505 Buford Drive in Lawrenceville, not far from Coolray Field. The Oregon-based company entered the metro Atlanta market this past July with a location on Medlock Bridge Road in Johns Creek. ToNeTo Atlanta has reported in recent months that the company has additional units planned for metro Atlanta, including one coming to the site of a former Captain D's at 705 Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell.
Big Bad Breakfast (BBB) will open its first ever Atlanta area location Tuesday, November 4. The new restaurant, on which ToNeTo Atlanta exclusively reported on this past April, is opening at 1952 Howell Mill Road, where it replaces Cultivate, which closed this past December. James Beard award-winning chef John Currence opened the first BBB in Oxford, Mississippi, in 2008. A second location came to Birmingham in 2013. Through a partnership with Nashville-based Fresh Hospitality, Currence has expanded the brand to 24 locations across eight states. Fresh Hospitality also owns Atlanta-based businesses Taco Mac, The Vortex, and Mary Mac's Tea Room, among other holdings.
Chicken Salad Chick will open its latest Atlanta area location Wednesday, November 12, in Covington. The eatery is located within the new Jackson Market strip center at 4153 Highway 278, occupying a 2,550 square foot endcap which also includes a drive-thru. In celebration of the opening, the restaurant will award free Chicken Salad Chick for a year to the first 100 customers. Atlanta-based Chicken Salad Chick earlier this spring celebrated the opening of its 300th location.
ToNeTo Atlanta also reported October 30 that metro Atlanta's first Portillo's will open Tuesday November 18 at 790 Cobb Place Boulevard in Kennesaw.
Dave's Hot Chicken celebrated the opening of its newest Atlanta area location October 30 in Alpharetta. The new restaurant is located at 11760 Haynes Bridge Road in a space previously occupied by Viva Chicken. ToNeTo Atlanta first reported on the planned opening last August. Dave's Hot Chicken operates existing Atlanta area locations in Kennesaw, Buford and Sandy Spring with additional locations in Conyers and Columbus.
