[EXCLUSIVE] Metro Mexican Eatery Looks to Take Bigger "Slice" of Tucker

Enzo's Pizza, a Tucker mainstay for nineteen years, closed June 7.  The local pizza shop was first located in a former Hardee's on Hugh Howell before relocating to 4437 Cowan Road, in the former Peach Cafeteria, in late 2015.

Enzo's Pizza was founded by Tom Tillotson in 2007 and became a fixture in the Tucker community.   A second Enzo's on Stone Mountain Highway in Snellville was previously sold and renamed Fratelli's Pizza.  Fratelli's subsequently relocated to Athens Highway in Grayson several years ago.

When the original Enzo's moved, its former location became a Cook Out restaurant.

Luke Davis, restaurateur Johnny Liu of Cafe at Pharr, and a third man who was primarily a behind the scenes "financial backer" took over the business in June 2022, with plans to improve and grow the concept.

A third Enzo's opened in Buckhead's Chastain Park neighborhood in 2023.

Following the unexpected death of the third partner in late 2024, both the Buckhead and Tucker businesses were put up for sale in 2025.  The Buckhead location, in the Publix-anchored Chastain Square, sold first, and reopened this past December as Bertolozi's, a Chicago cracker thin pizza shop.

The Tucker location was different, as the 3rd partner was not only part of the business, but was the landlord, too, so the land and building were part of the sales offering.  The sale took longer with several people having reportedly expressed interest only to fail to follow through.

Enter Taqueria Los Hermanos.

The popular Tucker Mexican spot is currently located in The Centre on Hugh Howell, the onetime Publix and now Crunch Fitness-anchored center around the corner from the Enzo's property.  With rent increasing and the opportunity to own their own building and gain a valuable patio, they emerged as the ideal candidate to take over the Enzo's property.

Taqueria Los Hermanos is an authentic Mexican restaurant owned by three brothers: Miguel, Roel, and Raul Romero, along with their families. The Romero family opened the first Los Hermanos in 2001 and today operates five locations: Tucker, Lilburn, Dunwoody, Lawrenceville, and Suwanee.

The family previously made a similar move in Lilburn when they moved from within Killian Hill Crossing to a former freestanding Boston Market in an outparcel of the center.

According to a source close to the transaction, the owners of Los Hermanos recently closed on the Enzo's property and plan to move their business there in the coming months.  Whereas the current Los Hermanos is 2,633 square feet, the Enzo's building is 3,900 square feet, providing the Mexican eatery more space both inside and outside to accommodate even more guests.

Are you excited to hear that Taqueria Los Hermanos is expanding in Tucker?  What is your favorite Tucker area restaurant?  If Taqueria Los Hermanos continues to expand, where would you like to see them open next?
