Guac y Margys will at the end of the month close its two remaining locations in Atlanta. The Atlanta-based business once had three locations around town, but closed one in Midtown in early 2023, leaving it with locations in West Midtown and along the Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail. Now those locations are closing, too.
The company cited rising costs and competition as factors contributing to the decision to close. Both restaurants plan to host "Guac Going Away Parties" from June 26-28 to mark the restaurant's last weekend in business.
As they did in their post and we will do here, if you are an intown restaurant in need of help, please post the name and contact details in the comment section below.
At Interlock, Guac y Margys is now one of several vacant restaurant spaces ripe for the right backfill operator. Other available spaces include the former Humble Pie, Knuckies Hoagies, and Pour Taproom.
What would you like to see open in place of the current and soon to be vacant spaces at Interlock? What should replace Guac y Margys on the Beltline? Who in Atlanta do you think makes the best guac? Best marg?
Please share your thoughts below.
