[ALERT] Guac y Margys Announces Imminent Closure of Both of its Locations

Guac y Margys will at the end of the month close its two remaining locations in Atlanta.  The Atlanta-based business once had three locations around town, but closed one in Midtown in early 2023, leaving it with locations in West Midtown and along the Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail.  Now those locations are closing, too.

ToNeTo Atlanta first got wind of the planned closures late last week but waited until Monday to publish news following the restaurant's public disclosure of the imminent closures.  The  Beltline location at SPX Alley (661 Auburn Avenue) opened in 2018 followed by the West Midtown location at Phase One of The Interlock (1115 Howell Mill Road) in 2022.

The company cited rising costs and competition as factors contributing to the decision to close. Both restaurants plan to host "Guac Going Away Parties" from June 26-28 to mark the restaurant's last weekend in business.

At Interlock, Guac y Margys is now one of several vacant restaurant spaces ripe for the right backfill operator.  Other available spaces include the former Humble Pie, Knuckies Hoagies, and Pour Taproom.
