[ALERT] Chicken Salad Chick to Debut New Format in Downtown Atlanta

Chicken Salad Chick, the popular chicken salad chain which in 2021 moved its headquarters from Auburn, Alabama to metro Atlanta, is quickly approaching 50 locations across Georgia.  According to newly updated marketing materials, Chicken Salad Chick will open a new location at The Hub in Peachtree Center (225 Peachtree Street) in Downtown Atlanta.

The new corporately owned Chicken Salad Chick will open in The Hub, also known as the food court at Peachtree Center, a destination already home to local favorites Aviva by Kameel and Willy's Mexicana Grill, as well as chains like Chick-fil-A and Caribou, among others.

According to the company, the new location was designed specifically for the Downtown Atlanta destination and introduces "a new format for the brand."  The new location at The Hub will be the first unit in Georgia within a "multi-restaurant dining destination" as the brand put it, but there is at least one other food court location at Lakeside Shopping Center in Metairie, Louisiana.

The new Downtown Atlanta location will be the chain's most "in-town" location, with the only other locations to carry an Atlanta address located in Chastain Park on the edge of Sandy Springs, and Vinings.

Plans call for the new Chicken Salad Chick to debut in August, at which point the restaurant will award "special giveaways" to the first 50 guests on opening day.

Georgia, with 46 Chicken Salad Chick restaurants open, will after The Hub's debut, remain the company's largest market by store count.  Florida and Texas however have seen significant growth and are close behind with 46 and 45 locations, respectively.

Overall, the chain has nearly 350 locations across 25 states.

Are you excited for the opening of Chicken Salad Chick at The Hub in Downtown Atlanta?  Where else would you like to see Chicken Salad Chick open?  What is your favorite Chicken Salad Chick flavor?

So the headline is a new format but the body of your article disputes that classification. Which is it?

Taco Hills or the new Lula Hills under construction

The new format is clearly just a food court location instead of a free standing one. As a downtown office worker, this is fantastic news. The space they are entering into in Peachtree Center is tiny. I’m curious if they will offer a full menu.
