[ALERT] Capriotti's Sandwich Shop Slices Final Atlanta Shop

Capriotti's Sandwich Shop has closed its last remaining Atlanta area franchise.  A Kennesaw location of the Las Vegas-based franchise closed effective September 3, according to an email sent to patrons.  There was reportedly no warning to patrons or employees ahead of the abrupt closure.  

The Kennesaw area franchise was located at 777 Townpark Lane in Owl Creek Commons, just off Chastain Road and close to the main campus of Kennesaw State University.   The restaurant first opened October 6, 2016, and held a "first 100" style promotion where the first 100 patrons received a free sandwich "for a year."  

Previously, there was another Capriotti's on Satellite Boulevard in Duluth, but after opening in January 2015, it closed in early 2016.  

Capriotti's closure in Kennesaw creates an opportunity for a new restaurant (Potbelly?) to lease the 2,100 square foot space and inherit a fully built-out restaurant in a center already home to Chipotle, Taziki's, and Tropical Smoothie Cafe, among others.
