[ALERT] Common Ground Also Adding FroYo, Dispensary, Tacos and More!

ToNeTo Atlanta recently reported that Spread Bagelry was expanding its local presence with a new shop coming to the Atlanta Beltline Eastside trail. 

In addition to Spread, several other new businesses will be opening at Common Ground (550 Somerset Terrace), the Beltline adjacent property, too.  

Also sharing portions of the former 30,000 square foot Illuminarium space are Mar Y Masa, a Beltline facing locally owned taco spot as well as Zero Latency, a new immersive virtual reality experience from Australia that will be located behind Spread.  

A new location of Botanical Sciences is also opening behind Azara, across from Zero Latency.  Botanical Sciences is an Atlanta-based, physician founded medical marijuana dispensary.  The company opened its first location on Windy Hill Road in Marietta in September 2023 and today also operates facilities in Chamblee, West Midtown, Stockbridge, and Pooler.  

Also opening at the project is something several of our social media followers will likely be pleased to hear: a new frozen yogurt shop!  

Olive's Frozen Yogurt, being opened by Emory grads husband and wife Adib and Shoba Zaidi.  The Zaidis, who met more than a decade ago at Emory, married in India earlier this year and live in nearby Candler Park.  The new shop, which will be located to the right of Two Urban Licks, is reportedly named for the Zaidis' dog Oliver, according to the company's website.   

(We still miss Three on The Tree which featured chef-crafted froyo like spiced banana from Julia LeRoy and yogurt from AtlantaFresh Artisan Creamery.) 

The frozen yogurt at Olive's will reportedly be house-made daily from locally sourced Georgia farms with seasonal toppings set to rotate with what’s fresh from the Georgia State Farmers Market.

Tutti Gelato, a local shop with an existing location on Piedmont Avenue near its intersection with 10th Street in Midtown, is also listed in leasing materials as coming soon, but to the interior portion facing the parking lot.  That said, the existing space was previously marketed for lease as the company was planning to move to Common Ground, but has since renewed at their existing space seemingly leaving the Common Ground location in doubt. 

The leasing materials indicate that there are several spaces still available for lease including a large space behind Olive's and several smaller spaces behind Spread.
