Looks like a TKO for Rumble Boxing in metro Atlanta. The boxing club franchise at 6110 North Point Parkway in Northpoint Market Center is closing October 15 after about three and a half years in business.
The Alpharetta closure follows the closure of the Sandy Springs location on Roswell Road this past August and the West Midtown location off Howell Mill Road this past June. The Rumble website suggests that the company continues to operate one Georgia location in Columbus.
No specific reason has been provided for any of the closures, but several fitness franchises have struggled in recent months and years to continue operating in metro Atlanta and around the country.
The first Rumble Boxing opened in New York City in 2017. The brand was acquired by private equity-backed Xponential Fitness in 2021 who grew the business through franchising before selling it (and sibling brand CycleBar) to Extraordinary Brands in August 2025.
Fellow boxing studio, Atlanta-based Pepper Boxing, in July closed its short-lived location at Park Place in Dunwoody after previously closing locations in Midtown and at The Battery Atlanta, leaving only their Buckhead location still open.
YogaSix previously closed all of its Atlanta area locations including those in Midtown, Dunwoody, and at The Battery Atlanta. AKT, too, previously closed both of its Atlanta area studios along the Beltline in Inman Park and in Sandy Springs.
Even F45, one of the more well-known fitness franchises, has seen several closures in metro Atlanta including those in Summerhill and Emory Point. One of its largest franchisees, Mad Fitness Group, which at its peak operated more than 30 F45 studios across six states, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in August.
Are you surprised to see so many fitness franchises close in metro Atlanta? Is there a certain type of fitness studio you feel is missing from Atlanta? What would you like to see open in place of the former Rumble locations in metro Atlanta?
