Chuy's, a Tex-Mex restaurant, will soon open their first Atlanta area location near Perimeter Mall. Opening in the recently closed Fire of Brazil on Perimeter Center West adjacent to Barnes & Noble and The Container Store, the Austin, Texas-based Chuy's plans to open in November. Fire of Brazil experienced a fire shortly before closing and its cause remains suspicious given their imminent closure. Hopefully the fire did not do too much damage and Chuy's can open as scheduled. A similar concept, Irving, Texas-based Uncle Julio's, opened its second Atlanta location at Peachtree-Dunwoody Road and Hammond Drive in late 2009.
The first Chuy's opened in Austin in 1982 and this upcoming Atlanta location will be owned and operated by a local franchisee.
