Big Chain Shutters Buckhead Location, Small Chain Coming

After hearing talk of a planned rebranding of a local Ruby Tuesday, I have now confirmed my guess that it would be their Buckhead location was correct. Located at the corner of Lenox and East Paces Ferry Roads across from Lenox Square, the location closed this week with plans to reopen in the spring as Truffles Café. A friend of mine who valeted for the restaurant once told me that a significant number of people will make the turn for Houston's (located next door) prematurely and end up going to Ruby Tuesday just because they don't wanna mess with moving.

Ruby Tuesday purchased the development rights for Hilton Head South Carolina based Truffles Café and plans to rebrand a number of its underperfoming locations with the 3 unit chain. Ruby Tuesday also purchased the development rights to the 26-unit Jim'N Nicks Bar-B-Que and purchased the now 2-unit Wok Hay Asian bistro concept. Check averages at Ruby Tuesday averaged $12, whereas at Truffles they are higher, at $18. This moderate pricing should do well in Buckhead where restaurants like Season's 52, and their wallet friendly prices and healthy menu are thriving. ToNeTo Atlanta
