What Was That Secret Ingredient in KC Pit BBQ?

KC Pit BBQ has closed, probably for the last time. Located in Sandy Springs on Roswell Road, KC Pit BBQ is situated just north of the Trader Joe's anchored shopping center. In mid-June, the restaurant was raided by undercover officers, DEA agents, SWAT and U.S. Marshalls related to "an ongoing investigation" believed to be drug related, but no official reason has been released. The restaurant reopened on June 20th according to its Facebook page, but a fan commented that less than a week later they were closed again. A ToNeTo Atlanta reader commented last month that they should be on the latest DeathWatch and clearly they should have been. That same reader noted that there was a dumpster outside the restaurant this past weekend and that their (currently non-operational) phone number had been removed from the building. Unrelated I'm sure, but just last week, south on Roswell Road, Ribs Etc. shuttered its longstanding BBQ joint. The only reason given was that business had been off. ToNeTo Atlanta
