Miss Sixty / Energie Gone In Under 60 Months

Miss Sixty / Energie, located within a single storefront on the second level of Lenox Square, has abruptly closed. As of today, signage had already been removed and their phone was apparently disconnected after closing Sunday night. Rumored to be closing for a few weeks, only today was I able to confirm that they had, in fact, closed. The store opened in 2008 amidst the major designer retail additions to the mall. That year alone, Lenox Square added True Religion, Calvin Klein White Label, a huge bi-level Ralph Lauren store, ZARA, Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic, Ed Hardy, 7 For All Mankind and a host of other high end retailers. Many were in the new second level luxury wing, but others like Ed Hardy and Miss Sixty / Energie, were in other parts of the mall.

The luxury wing has already seen the closure of Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic and last summer, Calvin Klein shuttered their giant White Label store. Miss Sixty / Energie didn't really fit the demographics of Lenox, or Buckhead, for that matter, and I questioned its opening when I was among the few attending the opening party held by Jezebel at the store. The chain has a store in south Florida's Aventura Mall, which would seem to be a far better fit.

Lenox Square had previously announced that they would open at noon today but changed that tune and opted to remain closed. As a result, I've been unable to confirm what may be taking the space but early chatter indicates that Godiva may take the space as they will soon be displaced as a result of the impending Prada store.

FYI...Energie/Miss Sixty closed ALL stores in the US...not just Lenox.

Hey Anon,

Sure enough, just found the release. Can't say I'm shocked, was a very European look. Saw a Barney's New York CoOp also closed in Houston... the location at Phipps can't hang on to much longer.

MIght want to check your dates. I worked at the store in Lenox in fall of 2007. It probably opened at the end of 2006???

Hello Anon,

I think you are right. The opening was early in 07 rather than 08. Sorry about the confusion.
